A hospitable home

July 8,  2014

Danny's family lived on the outskirts of Mount Hagen in several houses at the top of a sloping plot of ground.  The driveway was incomplete so the WTYSL team had to carry their luggage up from the van parked below.

On the spacious front porch, Danny's wife and sister-in-law had laid out a welcoming buffet on a folding table.

Not only was Danny's family opening their home to Alicia and Seb and the other two members of the film team, but Danny was giving over his van to our transportation around town.  So, after lunch,  we piled into the van again and he drove us around to the Anglican church center.

We were eager to meet Bishop Nathan in person, and to arrange for a time convenient for him to deliver the gifts we were bringing.

The bishop greeted us warmly,  coming down from the main  residence to introduce us to several of the people in the congregation from the Maring area who were chatting by the gate.

Jonathan and Sebastian recorded our meeting.

And we made an appointment for the following morning, Wednesday.

Danny then drove us to one of the several banks in Mt. Hagen.
