We quickly became engrossed in the game of "three questions" that had been suggested to help us pass the time in the restaurant at Jackson Airport until we could load our luggage into taxis and proceed to our overnight accommodation. We pushed two tables together and soon forgot the other customers as we sharred and discussed our thoughts.

What were we saying?
We were so wrapped up in the conversation that not a single one of us remembered to do any recording!
Well, looking back, I'd say we were not yet really in PNG. We were in a liminal space between worlds - cool and airy, an hour outside of time. The game was helping us focus and articulate what each of us felt we were doing on the trip.
Momentarily, inadvertently, the film crew put aside their role as primary documentarians. That happens!

Ohhhh, how I wish there'd been a recording of this. I wonder if any of the team members could answer these questions now, several years later. Perhaps, obv mixed in w overlays of how the experience has taken hold & informed their work since then
